How does it work?

  • Self-Paced online modules - learn what motivates your child to act out and how to respond, how to help your child learn according to their needs, and to make it easy to provide data to outside providers that support your child’s progress.

  • Virtual classes - once you have completed the self-paced behavior education modules, you will have 24/7 access to individual learning modules as a resource and to help you grow as a parent.

  • Parent meetings - once you have completed the self-paced modules, we will have individual virtual meetings regularly to review the concepts and make sure you have a strong working knowledge before moving into the assessment and programming.

  • Cohorts- To help you build a stronger community, you can be placed in a cohort that is a good match based on similarities and regions. Cohorts are meant to help provide parent-parent support, share resources, and a safe space to discuss what others inevitably do not understand.

  • Assessment and Programming - You will complete a quick interview form and a guided skills assessment to determine what skills your child needs and what behaviors require immediate attention.

  • Skills Training - Based on the assessment, you will receive professional guidance identifying what skills to teach, how to teach them, how to easily collect data, and how to continue moving your child forward as they start to achieve their goals.

  • Behavior Reduction - Based on the assessment, you will receive professional guidance identifying what behaviors to prioritize for reduction and replacement behaviors that will serve the same purpose.

  • Self-paced progress and re-evaluations - As you and your child become more successful, you we will work together to determine when to re-assess their skills, when to add, remove, modify or discontinue programs, and address new goals such as transitioning to school or vocational training.

Introductory Online
Courses

One course is required before we complete your assessment together. Members will have unlimited access to additional classes for the duration of your membership.

Required

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Training Course - This course is included in your membership. It is the same course clinics use to train their technicians. There will be new vocabulary, concepts that enhance traditional parenting styles, and interactive lessons to teach these concepts. It is the equivalent of a 40-hour training week, so we have given you up to 30 days to complete the training. We recommend working at your pace and recognizing this will empower you to respond better to the challenges you are facing. You could even qualify to work in an ABA clinic once you pass!

Continuing Education

Foundations of Behavior supports the material you learned in the RBT course and is available 24/7. It is important you get the best foundation and understand the concepts behind helping your child reach their full potential.

Setting up the environment will help you organize your thoughts and your space so you will be ready to move on to assessments and programming.
